Mr. Girish Kumar P G, known as Girish Narayanan is an Indian Music Director and singer, whose songs have been featured mainly in Malayalam, Tamil and Hindi movies. Girish, a native of Chengannur, Kerala, has studied Indian Classical music for decades and has toured throughout India, UAE and Malaysia performing concerts in Indian-led ensembles.
Girish received his early training from Late Subramaniya Moni and subsequently, took advanced training from one of the veterans of the Classical Music . In 2000 he went to Chennai and pursued classical guidance from the versatile genius Dr. Balamuralikrishna. He received uninterrupted training from him for quite some time. Upon his request, Girish later received valuable guidance in Hindusthani Classical Music from the classical stalwarts Mausami Bhattacharya of Kolkata, and Kaivalya Kumar Gaurav of Dharwad. The training he received from these multitalented musicians developed a strong foundation for Girish’s music, and creative individuality.
Mr. Girish Narayanan scored music for Malayalam movies ‘Perumal,’ ‘Cleopatra,’ ‘Happy Durbar,’ and ‘My Life Partner.’ He also composed music for the Tamil movie ‘Swetha,’ and a number of Tamil and Telugu television serials. He has 200 Christian and 500 Hindu devotional songs to his credit, besides three internationally accredited albums, his Upcoming Malayalam movies are, “Anga rajyathe Jimmanmaar” and “Prema lolan”,. since when he was five and the blessing he received from Sai Baba at the age of 18 was a turning point for him. He has been invited to perform regularly by the institutions and organisations of Sai organisations throughout India , UAE, and Malaysia. He has also had numerous teaching assignments across the globe and recorded several albums with the Samithi organisations. Over these years, Girish has intelligently maintained the balance between the two streams of music, both classical and light music, thus keeping intact the academic excellence with premeditated blend of aesthetics and musical semantics.
